Fly South Fly Shop and Outfitters and Middle Tennessee Fly Fishers Casting Clinic and Casting Skills Challenge

Nashville's Fly South Shop and Outfitters is partnering with Middle Tennessee Fly Fishers and the Southeastern Council of FFI to conduct an AM casting clinic and PM Fly Casting Skills Development Challenge (FCSD) for interested members of the Fly Fishers International community. The morning session will cover casting demos, one-on-one instruction, distance and double-hauling, presentation casting, double-hand spey, beginning fly casting, and FCSD preparation.

 

The afternoon will consist of FCSD activities. This series of challenges offers fly anglers the opportunity to test their casting ability and qualify for Bronze, Silver, or Gold levels, a designation endorsed by Fly Fishers International. This is a free event for FFI members. Those wishing to participate who are NOT members of FFI will need to join to participate. Participants may join FFI the day of the event. Potential challengers should familiarize themselves with the tasks in each of the tests. Lunch will be provided. Spaces are limited, so please register your spot for this event.
